RapidScale

The broadest managed cloud answer in the mid market; every infrastructure discipline with one throat to hold accountable.
Best for: mid market managed cloud
RapidScale is what a mid sized company buys when it wants the cloud handled rather than hosted: managed AWS and Azure, VMware based private cloud, virtual desktops, and disaster recovery from one provider, with migration and modernization services in front. It folded a deeply respected cloud native engineering firm into its bench several years ago, which lifted the AWS and Azure work well beyond commodity operations, and it is owned by a major cable operator whose combination with an even larger one stands to widen its reach further. The breadth is the point: companies juggling a hyperscaler bill, an aging VMware cluster, remote desktops, and a recovery plan can consolidate all four conversations. The honest caution is the one that applies to any provider whose parent is mid merger, which is that integration can compete for attention; so far the service organization has stayed steady. Buyers with one narrow requirement may find a specialist sharper, but for the company that needs several disciplines handled at once, this is the strongest single relationship in the category.

Why use an advisor
- One conversation instead of five vendor sales processes.
- You buy directly from the provider you choose, at the same or better pricing: providers quote sharper when they know the whole market is being compared.
- Advice that includes "don't buy this," because we have no stake in which provider wins.
- Coverage of the whole market, including providers you've never heard of.
- Provider claims checked against what advisors see across live quotes, not against brochures.
