Connectivity & Network
Nitel

Managed connectivity at scale; the network department a multi site business rents, now run from inside Comcast Business.
Best for: managed multi site networks with SD-WAN
Nitel occupies the managed layer of business connectivity: it sources the right access, fiber, cable, fixed wireless, whatever the address supports, from an enormous range of underlying carriers, then layers managed SD-WAN, security, and monitoring on top and runs the whole thing as a service. The pitch lands with multi site businesses that want a modern network without becoming a telecom department: one partner designs the connectivity mix per site, handles the carrier relationships and installs, wraps the circuits in SD-WAN so sites stay up when a single connection fails, and answers one support line when anything breaks. The security layer extends into SASE for businesses converging network and security buying. The material change buyers should know: Comcast acquired Nitel in 2025, and the operation now runs inside Comcast Business. The multi carrier sourcing model continues, but the structural argument that Nitel favors no network because it owns none is gone, and it is reasonable to expect Comcast access to feature prominently in designs where it is on the table. Pricing is quote based, scoped to sites, bandwidth, and the managed stack chosen. The honest scope: a single location with simple needs does not need this model, and businesses with strong internal network teams may prefer buying circuits directly. For the mid market multi site buyer in between, managed connectivity remains a sane answer; we now also weigh Nitel against genuinely independent alternatives when we quote it.
