Connectivity & Network
Verizon
Fios quality where the fiber reaches, and credible 5G service almost everywhere else.
Best for: Fios markets and wireless backup
Verizon brings two distinct strengths to business internet. The first is Fios: in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic markets where the fiber footprint runs, Fios Business is a benchmark product, symmetrical speeds, strong reliability, and straightforward published pricing that regularly beats the cable alternative on value. The second is 5G Business Internet, fixed wireless delivered over Verizon's cellular network, which has matured into a genuinely useful tool: it turns up in days with no construction, prices aggressively, and serves as either primary service for smaller sites or the diverse path backup that keeps a business running when the wired connection fails. Since the wireless path shares no conduit with wired carriers, it is real redundancy rather than theater. The honest limits: Fios availability is strictly address bound and most of the country is outside it, fixed wireless performance varies with signal and congestion at the specific address, and neither product carries dedicated circuit guarantees. Multi site businesses often deploy Verizon as one layer of a mixed portfolio, Fios where it reaches, wireless backup broadly, and the right mix is exactly what a quote comparison across carriers reveals.
